The Alpine Theatre is proud to have this bluegrass band, The Johnny Staats Project, kicking off Season 2026. From Sandyville, West Virginia, Johnny Staats was the talk of Nashville and quickly received international attention and acclaim with his talents on the mandolin, fiddle, and banjo. Johnny has reformed the Johnny Staats Project to explore, create, and perform multiple genres of music. The Johnny Staats Project features WV natives, Rick Poling on keyboard and vocals, and Roger Bash, vocals and drums. If you missed them in 2025, you will want to see The Johnny Staats Project in 2026! The West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame is proud to honor Johnny Staats as a 2026 Recording Artist Inductee, recognizing not only his extraordinary talent but also his unwavering commitment to family, community, and the Mountain State he has always called home. From Welch, WV, Matt Deal was determined to push the limits of what people have come to expect from music made in Appalachia. Raised on a musical diet of classic, rock, pop, soul, country and hippie bluegrass along with alternative and grunge and anything that sounds different, Matt provides energetic shows with a show stopping voice and dry sense of humor that has won fans throughout Appalachia and beyond.
This is a return performance at the Alpine for Jonah. From the small town of Peterstown, WV, Jonah has written, recorded and independently released 3 solo albums to date. The only true consistency through each of his genre defying releases are his powerful baritone and intricate guitar playing. All of which creates a special "vibe" for his loyal following throughout his 20+ years of his musical journey.

Crandall Creek is a dynamic bluegrass ensemble with a blend of exceptional vocalists, award winning instrumentalists and acclaimed songwriters. The founding member, guitarist Jerry Andrews, created the band in 2015. Many of their songs have made the top 20 billboards over the years. 2024 was a year of many nominations and awards including; Group of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Female Country Vocalist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year, solidifying their place in the music industry. We welcome back Crandall Creek to The Alpine Theatre!
